We are extensively targeting the exhibitor base of New Hope’s Natural Products Expo East and West exhibitors, and The Specialty Food Association’s Fancy Food exhibitors, as a foundational piece of the marketing effort. We’ve also struck partnerships and alliances with organizations like Startup CPG, FoodBevy, and Chicagoland Food & Beverage Network, which count emerging brands as their members.
The Association for Contract Packagers & Manufacturers is promoting the Emerging Brands Summit to its list of emerging brands that have filled out its RFQ tool on its website. Finally, we are establishing partnerships with emerging brand incubator programs such as Breedlove and The Hatchery, among others. We continue to add partners to this list.
But that’s not all. PMMI has created a brand-new umbrella organization called the Emerging Brands Alliance, which is a year-round initiative to support the event and build our database through the aforementioned partnership effort. We are creating an innovative grant program under the auspices of the Emerging Brands Alliance consisting of three $20,000 grants, designed to organically draw in and attract emerging brands. Wide promotion of this grant program through our partner organizations and social media platforms will also draw attendees to the event.
This unique outreach program is targeting a wide audience of growing brand entrepreneurs who want to scale their operations and learn about packaging and processing technologies from suppliers who can help them adopt critical technologies designed to grow their brand.
The Emerging Brands Summit takes place on the first day of PACK EXPO International, Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM. The location is the South Building of McCormick Place, Room S100.
Yes, all Emerging Brands Summit attendees will also be registered for PACK EXPO International and can attend all days of the trade show (October 23 -26).
Targeted attendees are leaders of growing CPG companies with annual revenue up to $20 million. The audience is likely to draw heavily from the food and beverage industry across growing categories such as cannabis, craft brew, hard seltzer, pet food, and plant-based foods. While the PACK EXPO shows attract a number of emerging brand attendees, the Emerging Brands Summit event also seeks to solicit a new, untapped audience through partnerships with startup communities and other outreach.
- More than 27% of PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2021 attendees indicated their company was an “Emerging Consumer Brand”
- Nearly 17% of current registered PACK EXPO International attendees indicated their company was a “Startup”
