Mark is currently President of Mark Green and Associates, an LLC providing business and technical leadership to his clients. He left his 35 year career with Abbott Laboratories in 2016 where he was awarded the distinguished lifetime achievement award for his many significant contributions to the business.

Mark earned his degree in computer and electrical engineering from The Ohio State University and Franklin University.  After joining Abbott in 1981, he held a variety of positions in R&D, Quality Assurance, and Engineering for both nutritional and device manufacturing operations.  Mark has led several key initiatives and has led cross-functional teams at the corporate, division, and local levels for several key Abbott initiatives. In his last role at Abbott, he established a process for global technical collaboration and knowledge sharing to develop and sustain core technical skills. As head of Packaging Equipment Engineering, he led the development of packaging lines for the “plant of the future” concept standardizing layouts and specifications leading to successful concurrent greenfield construction/start-ups of new factories in North America, China, and India. As head of Division Validation, he led development of processes which eventually were presented to the FDA and are now an industry standard for risk-based validation.   

Mark and his wife Susan reside in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio and are involved in being parents and grandparents. He is active in his church and volunteers with multiple charitable community organizations.
